MM303/MM453/MM653/MM800/MM4650/MM4800 GENERAL INFORMATION
The Modulator is a solid state high performance frequency agile headend modulator, allowing system reconfiguration at the push of a button.
The button is located behind the front panel, beside the channel display. A small plastic tool or pen is used and inserted through the hole to advance the channel.
Last data entry to select channels is automatically stored in nonvolatile memory. After powerfailure, the unit initializes to the set channel when power comes on.
Adjustments are for video level, sound carrier, audio level and rf-output. Recommended installation equipment of a Field Strength Meter and a TV/Monitor is needed when
interfacing the signal to CATV, the signals must be balanced and losses calculated.. Audio input is 600 Ohms unbalanced. If-Loop is unfiltered.
PROGRAMMING THE MODULATOR
- Insert a small plastic tool or pen through button hole and press until channel display is advanced to the desired channel.
- Last channel location is stored in nonvolatile memory. No battery back up is needed in case of power failure.
- IF-Loop is unfiltered. To connect scrambling systems, do not increase unity gain since it will affect the performance
of the modulator's spurious output, signal level, etc.
- Set Rf-output level with Spectrum Analyzer or Field strength Meter or consult your Cable Company.
- Note: In cases of malfunction unplugging the modulator from power line will reset and reinitializing will activate previous settings.

 GENERAL INFORMATION
The MP301 / 801 is a solid-state high performance frequency agile headend processor / converter, allowing system reconfiguration at the push of a button. The buttons are located behind the front panel, beside the channel display.
A small plastic tool or pen is used and inserted through the hole to advance the channel.
Last data entry to select channels is automatically stored in nonvolatile memory [no battery backup necessary]. After power failure, the unit initializes to the set channel when power comes on.
Adjustments for -10dB sound carrier reduction are done with the sound control.
Output gain control is accessible from the rear panel. Use only for small adjustments, pad down signal.
PROGRAMMING THE PROCESSOR
- Insert small plastic tool or pen through buttonhole and press until channel display is advanced to desired channel.
- Last channel location is stored in nonvolatile memory.
No battery back up needed in case of power failure.
- Set Rf-level with Spectrum Analyzer or Field strength Meter or consult the Cable Company.
- Note: In case of malfunction unplugging the processor from power line will reset and reinitializing will activate previous settings.
- When rack mounted avoid heat build up, allow for ventilation.
Install for 2 units one ventilation panel. For closed racks a ventilation fan is recommended.
